Animated videos and explainers about what a great AI future could look like in practice.
Dystopian AI futures dominate our cultural imagination. But if we want a good future, we need positive visions to build toward. So what would a normal day look like in 2035, if AI development went well?
This short film brings to life a world radically transformed by AI for the better, with powerful systems built to extend human judgment, not replace it. It follows a day in the life of an AI auditor through democratic oversight work, digital health tools, and AI that stays a bounded tool.
The film is based on our Tool AI scenario, developed with researchers from Anthropic, DeepMind, the Future of Life Institute, and Metaculus, among others.
Want to help build this future?
The world in this film is a choice, not a forecast, and making it real takes people. If it resonated, share it, and explore where to start:
→ AI Pathways: the scenario behind the film
→ Existential Hope: subscribe to stay in the loop about opportunities and visions for a future worth wanting
→ Working on AI? 80,000 Hours, the Foresight Institute, the Future of Life Institute, and others can help you find your path.
